The length and angle of daylight is not uniform. Based on location and time
of year these changes range from very pronounced to subtle or nonexistent.
Daylight conditions and their changes through the seasons effect us all on a
personal emotional level, as well as on a societal and cultural level.
Do we ever think about this or even notice ?

This infographic is a visual mapping of the length of daylight and magic hour across the globe. The variation in location and season is represented by 5 locations across the earth's longtitude, at latitudes reflecting the full range of the angles of sunlight across the seasons, creating a clear representation of the
relative amount of Magic Hour in the various locations and seasons.

* Magic Hour is a period shortly after sunrise or before sunset during which daylight is redder and softer compared to when the Sun is higher in the sky. Contrast is significantly decresed during magic hour, shadows are less dark, and highlights are less likely to be overexpose making this special time of day one that is often used in photography and cinematography.
